The 24 spline diff isn't any stronger than the 10 spline. The half shafts are a bit stronger.
Any 80s, 90s or 00s diff is going to need a rebuild with bearings seals, thrust washers and a careful examination of the ring and pinion. I would buy a complete set of new bolts too.
The early CVs are stronger but that is outweighed by the cost of the new half shafts.
I'd be inclined to find a complete later 24 spline axle and use that.
