Dog guard in a 90
I am looking at upgrading from a 2007 Puma 90 to a new Defender.
The boot isn't very big, mainly because the slope of the seat back takes up space.
With the seats down the space is probably bigger than my old Defender.
Can you get a device to put the seat backs forward and lock them in an upright position?

Does anyone have any experience of creating a dog space with the seats down. I know that they do a cubby box to level the boot floor with the seats
Can you get the seats to lie perfectly flat?
What dog guard do you recommend as I think the Land Rover guard is just for the 110
Is there a rubber mat for the 90 with the seats down?

Any other tips?

Kevin

I just put a Yeti blanket on the floor, completely flat with the storage tray in place. The dog guard fits behind the front seats in the 90 which renders the seats useless if you need to take passengers. My dog isn’t in the car very often so I haven’t bothered with it.

@J77
thanks, haven't seen those Yeti blankets before. Very nice but a bit pricy

I found this on the Land Rover website

As I don't intend carrying any passengers it should do. In the car I tried at the dealer, the floor didn't lay as flat as in this picture

I'll see if the old Defender rubber mat will fit the new car so that should stop all the dog dirt dropping between the gaps

not before, but now ,The 90, gets its rear seats to fold totally flat from MY24 onwards, if that helps!!
… They also level the gap of the aluminum beam with a plastic supplement that is also a box!

Yes they’re a bit expensive, I got money off or they would be lying on an old bed sheet 😂

You could probably make your own mat, or see if you can get one out of a Hard Top on eBay? 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

Thanks J77

Confirmed my order today

I think the space in your picture looks great

I think I'll keep the rubber mat out of my old Defender and make it fit

I'm told that the little storage box comes as standard now

Next thing is a protector to go on the top of the bumper to stop the dogs scratching it
