United Kingdom 2015 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey
Ten years on . . .
I’ve been having some peculiar thoughts about changing the colour of my 90. She’s ten next month (I bought her new) and she’s fairly original - I sprayed the rad grill & light surrounds black, and she’s wearing a DRL bumper and black wrapped wheel arches, everything else is factory. Paint wise, I’m thinking a coat of Land Rover mid-grey with a cream or limestone roof with matching series style steel wheels. Anyone think this is a bad idea?

I agree it’s stunning as is, but understand after 10 years you may be ready for a change! So why not sure it will still look a stunner no matter what you did to it. Thanks Jim.

If it were mine I would keep exactly as is.

If you do decide to go for a colour change then I would go for a wrap rather than a permanent respray.

Just my thoughts

Jim

I would leave it, factory classic landrovers are my favourite now on the road. Treat it to some subtle upgrades, billet handles etc Andy

As already said a few times, keep it standard, it's a sought-after late model.
If you must change the colour, then wrap it.

Anything else will spoil the originality, reduce it's appeal to a broad section of enthusiasts and therefore reduce it's value on both counts.

Are you trying for a Islay version of what you have?

It looks amazing as a limited edition JLR Classic, and would not blame you.

My story is, I see so many other Landy's and "want that one", but have opted to play around with mine and keep all the original parts.

What you do with your toys is between you and your accountant. No judgement. Have fun!
