I'm not really sure what to make of this....
... but I am fairly sure that opinions will be divided.

I follow 'Blue tit' on Instagram and the smallest cog on the TV then the odd Drivetribe video on you tube.

so I guess a collaboration between the two was inevitable in this day and age its all about the views..

Both of them want to try and make a living I guess and if this is the modern way then good luck to them, I don't know the background of the bluetit girl and I guess Hamsters daughter wants to do her own thing.

I'm all for it, there are loads more of this type of content all over the interweb. Like anything watch if you like, don't if you don't.

Thumbs Up

I'll go there

Well wasn't that all highly contrived. AS above it is all about the views and engagement, having the clicks is what drives the algorithm, this drives more suggested views and that in time is where the Advertising revenue $ come in.

No one wants plain facts and lack of drama. (been there tried that apparently I'm boring as it's no faff simply problem = simple fix)

Whilst the likes of Mr Hammond having the right oil and coolant is plausible, the miracle before X-mas of the correct battery just being there was something else. and of course when reviving an old bus like that:

-you always go straight to the key without checking the battery.
-you don't check the airfilter for mouse nests
-you don't see if the brakes work
-you don't check the fuel system at all
-you telepathically find a non start issue

and all while asking google about how to connect a battery...

If this is factual entertainment to the masses then it's a sad indictment of what it has become. There is plenty of "Will it run" genre out there on the Youtubes, the amount of 'dumb luck' I just saw simply doesn't make it believable.

To quote Sir walter scott what a tangled web we weave..

And I ask what happens when you start chasing the views and the figures just to maintain that momentum you had before? Are you simply fortuitous to be involved in a ever greater series of events, This so that compound in a wholly organic growth? Or does the devil on the shoulder urge some 'television magic' to happen, but still claim a reality factual basis.

This is where I have turned the telescope on myself in the past.

To please social media you must post regular and click bait is a thing look at the big fish out there, it's always a escalation of this happened for good or bad.

So how deep is that well of 'Amazing things that happen'?

To most of us not very far and again when do you start to blur the lines between actuality and entertainment?

and before you hang me out to dry yes my socials are just there VVVV and if anything happens then It will be posted if nothing happens then naff all will be shown. Am I going to sell my soul to the appeasement of a legion of armchair enthusiasts, who are constant scrolling just looking for their own self fulfilment?

Nope.

I could regale with the 2 odd hours it took on Saturday night to get from just outside Chipping Norton to Gloucester, But I've got a boring job and so have you so I won't bore you further.

Simply

If entertainment is your thing then I wish you well in your continued watching, however don't try and conflate this with actual "Ohh look what happened today" As my moral compass doesn't swing that way. Also can be found on Fb, Ytube, Insta & Twitter @4WDSouthwest
