Replacing rear springs on my 2001 90
Hi, I'm looking at replacing my rear springs on my TD5 90 in a while and when looking on Paddocks they have aftermarket driver and passenger spring listed as well as Britpart which aren't handed as far as I can tell. If you had to choose out of this selection what would you go for? Mike

not britpart as they tend to go soft within 12mths and their shocks leak after 6 mths of road use

What do you use the vehicle for and what shocks (are you replacing them?)?

I like the Flatdog springs, good choice of options too:

Were it me I’d go genuine, Land Rover knew what they were doing with springs and shocks. My OE Land Rover front springs and shocks lasted 200,000 kms and 25 years. OE Rear springs are still on my 110 CSW. 🤷‍♂️ Have look here for technical data👇🏻

Good luck

Oh yeah, there are springs and springs. You can do a lot desktop analysis of spring rates, heights, progressive or not. Don't forget the colour code stripes! Then there are the people who say their car was transformed by changing just the springs.

Still all fun, that's why we have defenders! Endless customisation. Enjoy.

Thanks for all the useful info guys. I was also interested in the fact Britpart sell their standard yellows ones that I fitted a few years ago that were NOT handed but aftermarket stuff on Paddocks are, as are OEM parts.

Thanks again Thumbs Up Mike
