Just back from British Army Motorsports 4x4 off-road navigation event based around Salisbury plain.

Brilliant event using ordinary roads, greenlanes and the permissive tracks on the exercise area.

My son and navigator is now an officer in the REME at another base nearby to Larkhill where the event starts. The picture is of our truck in his maintenance hangar. And after.

We were properly lost a couple of time and got mixed into a bunch or Warrior armoured vehicles doing night training. Managed a trophy though!

These events are awesome, a good entry for the night event this year meant competition was good.

Fully recommended. 2011 130 Utility Body

Nice one Thumbs Up

I did the first Autumn Leaves night event a number of years ago.

On the climb up from the Black Cat pub with five vehicles behind me my transfer box went pop. My navigator had to tell those behind me to back out before i rolled down gently on the brakes.

If you ever get to participate at the Bramley ammunition dump near to Basingstoke DO IT. its an amazing site.

glad you had a good time

we couldn't make this on with work commitments

the plain is hard to navigate in daylight and at night, well lets say it resembles the moon sometimes.

soon be 2025 and more Bama events

If my son doesn’t get deployed we might do joint clerk of the course next year and run it from his hangar at Tidworth which is about 15 minutes from Larkhill. Subject to approval of his C.O. 2011 130 Utility Body
