Side step installation
I’ve bought some aftermarket side steps to fit to my new Defender 110.

I’ve watched lots of videos online on how to fit them and it seems a real faff to remove all the sills / break clips etc. Some videos only install the steps by cutting the sills in place and attach only using the underside 2 bolts, to avoid the need to attach the side bolts. The side steps from sidesteps UK also only use the 2 underside bolts.

Has anyone done this / how have they held up?

I have the ones from side steps uk as I didn’t want to remove sill covers etc.
Easy to fit and well made plus cheaper.
I’d buy again for sure 👍 MY25 90 D350 X-Dynamic HSE in Silicon Silver and coil sprung

l attached mine using just the larger bottom bolts. They are very secure and l can't see why you'd fit the smaller side bolts.

Also it's much easier to get them off again if it's ever needed.
