Faulty GPS
Was splitting sticks today to start the fire and owing to a faulty GPS on the axe it hit my thumb instead of the stick Big Cry

Just an update with a time line of an eventful week.
Thursday 28th November. 2.00pm attend local xray clinic.
2.25pm, injure thumb while cutting sticks
2.25pm-2.35pm first aid at home.
2.45pm attend local surgery. Injury professionally dealt with. Received tetanus shot.
Monday 2nd December. Attend surgery for check on thumb and new dressing.
Wednesday 4th December Attend surgery for check on thumb and dressing changed. So far so good, no infection.
Scheduled visits to the surgery for further checks on Friday 6th December and Monday 9th December.
For someone who does not get out much this has been a busy and a very exciting week. Life will seem very flat when I get back to normal. I will miss that nice nurse... Very Happy 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

Funny how at work you have all this HSE focus and they see any injury as problematic (because it can be an indicator for worse to come), BUT when I have an injury, cut, etc, I NEVER sulk about it. I just move on immediately and deal with it. I know we should learn etc and I am sure I do, but it's not as if I am going to blame myself for what happened.

I call it grit!

Grit does sound better than embarrassment. Maybe I’ll go with that too. WARNING.
