I have a GBX75. It worked when needed for about a year, approximately 5 jumps, when it developed a fault. I used the torch function but then it wouldn’t turn off or do anything else. The battery got so hot the plastic went soft. I took it back to Halfords who ordered me a new one but if anything goes wrong with the replacement I will be looking at other options.
Shout out to Chippenham Halfords for the great service, and also to myself for not buying it online and unable to return a scolding battery! WARNING. This post may contain sarcasm. |

I have a NOCO Boost Pro GB150 3000A bought from Amazon, it has always done exactly what it says it should do and done it well.
It has started many engines including Defenders and Discoverys, John Deere and New Holland tractors, my Iron Fairy crane (which has a 5.7 litre diesel engine which requires 2000+ CCA) and a 16 ton Hitachi excavator. The latter in particular impressed me since it was a very cold day and the excavator has a 24-volt electrical system, so I could only boost one of the two batteries, however the NOCO still started it. |

I’m sorry I don’t know the answer but looking at the specs of most on the market I think most of the above will more than suffice.
I’ve been looking at the Noco GBX75 myself, and there are some good offers on the auction site, but I’ve noted Zed’s comments and have also noticed a significant number of pre-owned Noco’s selling for ‘parts only’ which is worth being aware of. |

There are loads of broken Noco’s out there but they are also one of the most popular brands which will bloat the numbers. My replacement is getting quite lot of use due to a parasitic drain on one of our cars, which so far I’ve been unable to fix. If I was buying from scratch now I wouldn’t be put off Noco but I would most likely choose a cheaper, less powerful model knowing it may have to be replaced. WARNING.

I've got a Noco GBX55 - it seems pretty good quality and has worked well the times that I've needed to use it.
It's started a 4.6RV8 and a 3.5 V6 with a dirty great supercharger from totally flat a few times with no issues at all, and would have enough juice left after for a couple more jumps if needed. |

Yep, something like the GBX55. Half the price and from what you have said clearly does the job. If that failed just out of warranty replacing wouldn’t cause a sharp intake of breath. I was lucky Halfords were so understanding or else it would have been £275 down the toilet. WARNING.

Hello
I have had this Nico charger for around 2 years its brilliant. https://www.halfords.com/motoring/battery-...21898.html Having a few cars and some with batteries in silly places / depending upon how you have parked the car when it dies... its easy such flip the bonnet, connect and start the car. No phaffing with getting another car near and jump leads. Its also a USB charger if camping and a torch. Handy bit of kit. I bought it on a deal and paid around £85. Largest engine it has started is a 3.5 Petrol and 3.0 Diesel |

I have a Noco GB40 Plus.
Had to use it several times over the years and it's always been faultless. It also seems to hold the charge for ages, not touched mine since the early spring yet it jumped mine last week in that cold snap perfectly. |

Just seen this, so anyone looking this seems an ok deal?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/NOCO-GB40-UltraSa..._dt_sl7_8b Its basically a huge power bank and also a torch / flashlight so handy to keep in the car anyway. |

On the NOCO ones, the more I look into it the more it seems the later GBX ones seem to be having the reliability issues, the GB ones seen to have good reports on longevity. The advantage is the later GBX ones have 60W USB charging and supply capabilities, but if that’s not an issue the GB ones are cheaper and seem very reliable.
