Land Rover do an alloy wheel that looks the same as the steel wheel, but it's 20" rather than 18"

lf you like the look of steel wheels you could try and find a set of these, as they will fit your Defender.

Not to hijack, but I also bought a set of new/delivery mileage steelies this summer with A/T tyres on and I paid £625 for the wheels/tpms/nuts/centre-caps too via a bloke who has access to a Land Rover dealership.

I thought it was a great price considering the Goodyear Wrangler tyres were new and that they're £140 a piece. i also agree about the tpms adding resale value as it's not free to have a garage fit replacements.

If your wheels also have the A/T tyres on I'd suggest you hold out on price, if people don't want to pay £500 then don't give them away. When winter finally hits someone will snap them up, especially if you advertise to Scotland Very Happy

As and when mine go up for sale I'll want what I paid for them. I can't say I care much if a buyer has a mate who knows a guy from work who's sisters cousin's neighbour bought a full set on ebay for £25.50

Most the stuff on ebay is cack. No tpms, only four wheels, scrapes and scratches, dirty inside faces, tyres with sidewall damage or blathered in mud on the inside edges so you know they've been bashed off-road. Also rarely any wheel nuts included especially for the steelies.

I'd sooner keep my stuff than give it away to a strangers' benefit, and when I do give it away it benefits charity only. If buyers are greedy then let them miss out.

Stay strong Thumbs Up

Same here! Got 4 brand new OEM Landrover steelies for 200 quid, with tpms and Michelin tyres.
Bargain of the century I recon Smile
Problem with the steel wheel, they rust in a couple of winters 😳😳😳. I couldn’t believe it when I have seen it on a 22 plate defender. I Had mine black powered coated… after a few weeks with white steels on I was sick to look at them 🤣.

lf you spray the seam (where the rust appears) with a clear wax based rust proofing product such as XCP

Leave for an hour then wipe off any excess.

Ten minutes work that saves the heartache of rusty streaks appearing.

Can't believe these haven't sold. They would make great Winter wheels so long as they fit over your brake calipers.
lt's effectively £100 per wheel including tyre and TPMS sensor and at that price it's barely any more than a wheel refurb if yours have rusted.

Happy to sell them individually. Someone must be paying £360 for a pair of
tyres by now, when they could have two new tyres with wheels for £200

Great value for money. If you hold on to them someone will grab them at some point.
I think also you could do separate sale.
Who is looking for steel is planning off road (at list I did). However the Michelin tyre is not really adequate for any off road activity.
If you buy steels online brand new (not oem) you get them delivered at lower price. No collection needed no time wasted.
I would remove the tyres sell them separately for 200 the set of 4 (other cars might fit the size of your tyres)
I would remove the tpms and sell them 4 for 100 quid
I would sell the 4 steels at 200.
Gum tree first, eBay meantime.
Cannot go unsold.

To be honest l just don't have the time to do it. The wheels are stored in a dry heated garage with carpeted floor and no windows.

They'll be fine in there until someone buys them. Steel wheels are no longer available on new Defenders unless you specify them as an option.
The base model Commercial used to come on steels but it's been deleted from the range.

According to this month's LRO magazine these will fit straight on to Discovery 2 axles.
