Carplay and media help!
My phone wants to connect to the Defender using both wifi and Bluetooth

Which should l use. l currently have a problem with playing Spotify from the phone, it keeps disconnecting and l have to press play to get it to start again.

On Bluetooth it keeps flicking between "connected" and "not connected" although still seems to work.

Should l use wifi instead?

l've reset the Pivi and left both wi-fi and bluetooth on. It seems to be working okay now.

The car has Spotify as an app, at one stage it would sometimes connect to that instead of the one on my phone.

I always use the USB-C port to play music, as it has the best sound quality and my phone gets charged. Plus, you won't have any connection issues unless your cable or USB port is broken.

I'm in the minority, but I hate Apple CarPlay. I deactivated it in the smart device settings so it won't connect every time I plug in my phone. It has its benefits for sure, especially in vehicles that have a basic infotainment system, but the last thing I want is iOS on my dashboard. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

Connectivity in these cars is really difficult. I tend to use a cable over Bluetooth since it can charge my phone and be connected reliably at the same time.

No issues for me .
Mine connects fine wirelessly or wired with Apple Carplay.
And if wired and I unplug the phone then it switches automatically to wireless (the maps need a few seconds to catch up if mid-navigation)

I am also signed in with Spotify so can listen to that through the Pivi system. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof

No issues. No idea if I'm connected via Bluetooth or Wifi. Also use the cable. Seamless connection always. Thumbs Up Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

I don't have any problems with this neither, but in these cases I always blame the weakest part, in this case it is the phone, its OS or its damn updates... I would delete the device from the car and reinstall it... it connects via BT,or let it manage itself and forget it, it works, nothing happens to the car!! Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY
