The first thing I did with my 110 SW is remove the rear most seats. They're very bulky even folded up and severely limit the possibilities of carrying things in the tub. For anyone other than children they're not easy to get into and out of either.
Unless you actually need 7 seats adding them is more work that will only make the 110 less practical. |

I'm not quite sure what you mean, is the bulkhead staying, being removed, or being cut down? The second row seats will become marginally less uncomfortable if you remove or reduce the bulkhead since you can then adjust the backrests to make them less upright (remembering that a double cab's second row seats are more upright than an SW second row). I've never used the forward-facing "third row" seats in a current Defender but imagine that they are intrusive, space-hungry, awkward to get into, and fairly unpleasant to ride in. Unless I had a particular need (or really hated my children) I would not bother with them. They might however appeal greatly to an ascetic* since this sort of self-punishment is exactly the kind of thing that such folk are into. Then again perhaps you meant "aesthetics" not "ascetics". * Ascetic: a person who dedicates their life to a pursuit of contemplative ideals and practices extreme self-denial or self-mortification for religious reasons. |

A little off topic but…… as Blackwolf says the rear seats in a double cab are far too upright to be comfortable, there is a solution made by Far Corners which lifts the front of the seat a little and makes the back seats more comfortable.
Whether you can get them to actually supply them is another discussion…… 2011 130 Utility Body 2005 110 Van |

^^ a forum search on the company should quickly answer that.
There was a recent forum thread on the differences between the seat brackets for Station Wagon and Double Cab variants. That might be of interest for anyone considering this conversion. https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic93086.html |
