The testers only doing their job correctly, as part of the MOT they have to do a visual check to see if an EGR is present.
Someone presenting a vehicle obviously with an EGR removed could be from VOSA checking MOTs are being done correctly. So the MOT tester could get into a lot of hot water if they pass the vehicle. I think it was very good of them to highlight the issue(s) prior to the test. They could have just tested it, collected the fee, and failed the vehicle, putting the op in a much worse situation. |

Follow the attached link and choose the correct diagram for your TD5, you can then see what is missing on your vehicle and the relevant part numbers

If looking up parts on EBay add Discovery to your search description as there is normally more spares available for the TD5.

So.... looking at the LRW site there's an EU2 and EU3 option on the TD5.
Click image to enlarge At a guess, the EU2 is 10p and EU3 is 15p.... but.... Land Rover.... so who knows ?! Both cover 1987-2006. Have to say, I seem to remember my car being an EU3..... but it's a 2001 10p 2001 90 TD5 SW - Juice Motors Resto Mod - Epsom Green 2024 90 D300 HSE X-Dyn HT - Santorini Black |

The research gets more mistifying the more I do lol
Looks like I've found the vacuum actuator (although only one, not two as per the schematic online) Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And I'll need to be Mr Tickle to get the EGR pipe on the exhaust manifold ! Do you have the updated centre dash console/switchgear - if so likely to be 15P/EU3.
If the earlier type centre dash then 10P/EU2. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

You will also know by how many electrical connections you have on the inner wing for solenoid/solenoids.
