D350 90 - First fault and not a week old!
Well Boris has his first fault! Heater fans are squealing this morning! If I turn all the ventilation off it stops squealing, if turn onto Lo (cold) no squealing but as soon as I turn to 16 and above and introduce heat the squealing starts!

Anything I can do before sending Boris back to dealer to be sorted? Not looking forward to a dash out job on new car! Big Cry

Thanks DrRob. We are going away on holiday for 2 weeks but dealer says they’ll book it in when we get back. I’m hoping it resolves itself before then! Just wondered if anyone knew a simple fix rather than having to take him back.

My husband has my old MY18 D5 now and at this rate I will be asking for it back! lol!

I had to have the ventilation fan replaced as it roared and vibrated very badly. Partially seized bearings at 6 months old. 2020 Defender 110 SE 240D: Fuji White.

Telemarkskier was it a full dash out job and did everything go back in with no further problems or damage?

Not taken it in to dealers yet as on holiday but I’ve also got a noisy auto brake release so the list getting longer! MY25 Defender 90 D350 X Dynamic HSE - Boris

Yes, dismantle dash and front of cabin. 3 hours but dealer kept it for two days as they didn't start till late afternoon.

Just about everything back together except the dampening on the glove box which fell out the day after. Another trip back to the dealership who couldn't fit it in for six weeks for a 10 minute job! 2020 Defender 110 SE 240D: Fuji White.

I think it would need to be a few more serious things on the list before I consider rejecting. Dealer is waiting for us to return from holiday to get it in. Only drove for a week before we headed off on holiday. MY25 Defender 90 D350 X Dynamic HSE - Boris
