United Kingdom 1996 Defender 90 300 Tdi CSW Epsom Green
300 tdi wheels
Hi all,
I am a relative newcomer to the world of Landrovers and have just joined this site and i fear my question has been asked many times!

I have recently purcased a 1996 300 TDi county station wagon and have been offered some alloy wheels
which have the following on the outside of the rim 7J x 16 H2 and found these on the inside
RO2 7016
TAM 040
ET27

Does anyone know if these wheels will fit my beast please?

If they're standard LR alloys, which it sounds like the are, then yes, they'll fit. If you can share a picture of them then we can be sure. Darren

In my humble opinion the offered alloys look to be original fitment and perfect, but I am sure someone else will confirm Thumbs Up Rob

Be aware you may need different wheel nuts to fit alloys.
There was a set of boost wheel nuts for sale on here recently if you’re don’t come with a set.

Yes, they'll fit straight on, with alloy wheel nuts as already mentioned. They are commonly known as Freestyle alloys and were a common fitment to 90's and Discovery's in the late 90's.

Oddly, your existing steel wheels appear to have one alloy wheel nut on each, which is presumably a set of locking nuts. Darren

Nice Defender, reminds me of my first one, same colour and spec, though my one had a white roof.

As already said, those wheels should be fine, and would have been optional LR fitment back then.

My old Defender came with steel rostyle wheels then I fit boost alloys and they went straight on with no problems, of course using new alloy wheel nuts. Those free style wheels will be fine too and look great on yours Thumbs Up 2004 Defender 90 Td5 CSW
