You just need LR009769 and not the other type. Without these, the pads will rattle and jangle at certain speeds and you will spend a long time wondering what's causing the noise! LR Workshop

Front brakes look ok, however I would not use R clips to retain the pins (I know they come with kits), but use split pins. R clips are known to get pushed out, allowing the pads to fall off. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing

HI
thank you for the input and the Video Will@ LRW i referred to your website for the exploded views. SO the orientation of the shim is fine in the photo. (well brake lining facing disc and not as in the photo) Old ones used the R clips and also wondered if i should go for clevis pins. As far as the anti rattle springs. I only had 2 on one front caliper and never noticed any rattling up front. As long as they work fine I can live with some more rattling. Thanks all. |
