Power loss when driving at constant speed
My 2009 2.4TDCI Defender 110 has developed an intermittent snag which I hope someone will be able to help diagnose. When cruising on the motorway at 2000rpm there is the occasional feeling that there is a loss of boost (but with no ugly noises). It has not yet developed further into a permanent loss of power, but I am hoping that with guidance, I may be able to carry out corrective action before further problems.
Can anybody offer suggestions as to what might cause this deficiency?

Thanks
Richard

When you get the power loss does it last a few seconds and then the power comes back? Doe the vehicle ever cut out when coming to a junction and then have to be restarted?

Can someone also link me to a ‘known’ reliable replacement VCV also, please?

I have read the treads, but some of the links no longer exist.

Bell Auto Services site is under maintenance and isn’t showing VCV valves available

This is the only one I’ve come across from a known seller

BrickBox - A lot of folk swear by PF Jones.

As its a Ford engine some also just buy a VCV (Sometimes called a SCV) from a Ford main dealership.

PF Jones is where I went and got mine, not had any issue at all, and has been running great.
No learning needed just fit and forget for its life that it works in good order. ⭐️⭐️God Bless the USA 🇬🇧🇺🇸 ⭐️⭐️

At loss of power does it come back gain on its own or do you have to cycle ignition.

Does the turbo have full range of movement through the actuation arm. Cheers
