I hope that's a water-based pen. If not you could always market it as an art car. The biggest difference I can see is that your kids aren't famous artists (yet). RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s, 2 FL1s and a L663 on the way |

That’s a very nice permanent marker.
Not my stile of art. Kids love it. I didn’t kill them yet. |

It will come off. You need to find the correct thinner (make sure it does not damage the paint!) and the paint will benefit from a polish afterwards. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, have a body shop do it. And make your kids cut the grass or do other chores to pay - even if you have to wait a few years till they're old enough to cut grass. Just out of curiosity: how old and what was the reason/excuse? With the mirror, door handles, sill and arch guards it almost looks malicious. When I was about 5yrs old my mom had a VW Bug. My dad had bought a tin of touch-up paint, but it wasn't just a stick like today, it was nearly a quart sized tin. I have a vague memory of deciding I was going to 'help' my parents by repainting the front wing - and a more concrete memory of my dad discovering me mid brushstroke and going absolutely ballistic. I'd covered about 1/3 of the wing by then. RRC 2Dr, RRC 4Dr, P38, and 2 L322s, 2 FL1s and a L663 on the way |

They are 2 and 5…left them in the kitchen with black paper and white markers. I told them I was going to the garage, move the BBQ to the Garden. By the time I was back they were having great time decorating the defender. They love it and they wanted to make it look nicer.
I wasn’t annoyed. It reminded me when I was 5 and painted black my dad’s car with a spray can. I didn’t like his green car . This is clearly pay back, Karma. Difference being my dad running after me with his belt at hand. |

Bodyshop suggested DIY. They gave me a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and and a cloth and I was suggested to master Mr Miyagi technic: wax on, wax off.
Done that in 10 minutes. Washed the car, all good as new. Click image to enlarge |

I wonder what they will do next?
My parents took a similar approach to you as I have to my daughters. Education not punishment but boundaries to respect. At 19 and 24 I couldn't be prouder of my daughters. Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |
