Parked at Manchester and flew to Guernsey for a family shindig. Lots of Landies over here it would appear.

Soiled myself.
Ducks decided to go for a walk across the dual carriageway I was doing 50mph on. For the first time I think I could have done with ABS... Didn't hit any though, but was very close to doing. |

Tested the strength of my windscreen about 2 weeks ago, pheasant flew up from the road in front of me and hit the screen square in front of my face. Pouring with rain and travelling at about 50mph, made a big bang. Fully expected to be wearing glass and feathers, but the screen survived. Can't comment on the health of the bird though. Took my lad all the way over to Lakenheath gun club as he had a lesson booked for this morning only to find the place surrounded by loads of fire engines & police as the clubhouse was ablaze. I don't think my lad could believe it, he had tears in his eyes on the way back Steve.

took the kids to the cinema to see 'Arthur Christmas' at Carrick on Shannon. As kids movies go its pretty good. Filled the Puma while there. 26.6 mpg. Not bad for mostly school run stuff these days. Its still a bit embarassing the attention this vehicle draws. It doesn't half stick out at Tesco's car park. Everyone gives it a double take - especially farmers who seem to take a special interest although I can't help thinking ' if you like it that much why didn't you buy one instead of your Landcruiser/Pajero/Patrol etc?'
