The best diagnostic tool will be the GAP IIDTool, however it will be licensed to a specific VIN.
The next best tool is the Nanocom, available with a group buy discount on here. The advantage is the licence covers any 2.4 or 2.2 Puma. Just make sure it’s the right GAP tool. I believe the newer G4 one isn’t compatible with the Puma. I think it’s the G3 version? 2008 2.4 110 Utility Station Wagon XS.

Looks like the 3 is the one to get, the 4 does not support the year range.
