I'd suggest there are far too many variables for anyone to be able to offer any substantial advice on this one.
What I would say though is think about the journey type you've done when the fault happened - and see if the dealer can replicate it. Was it a stop start journey, did you hoon it down the road at 90 etc? Replacing the fuel filter on a 23.5 car - I suspect it has a low fuel pressure error. But that can be filter, pump, hose, blockage, leak etc etc. They're starting with filter because it's the cheapest, but unless the filter has collapsed, there should be no way it is blocked (they're usually replaced every few years!) If it happens again you could ask for the exact code - I'd definitely get yourself a bluetooth code reader to keep in the car. That may enable you to reset the code and get the car out of limp mode to get home. Realistically LR need to fix it, keep on their case - get a courtesy car, I always find that focuses them! |

Thanks for the reply and the info.
I thought it did seem strange on a car thats 15 months old they were replacing a fuel filter. I will try and find out the exact code tomorrow when they come out again and update this post. What bluetooth code reader would you recommend? Will definitely keep one in the car from now on. Thanks Andy |

Hi Andy, I've just had the same thing happen on my 90HT D200 (3.0 straight six Ingenium MHEV). Was towing the caravan the previous day then the day after on modest acceleration and mid revs the warning came up. Resets with an ignition restart but comes on again after a while - associated with applying a bit of power and accelerating. Am assuming some sort of manifold/turbo/airflow issue. Did you get any further with your issue? Any ideas anyone?

This kind of thing won't be much fun when it starts happening out of warranty. So far my 2022 D250 HT has been faultless.
My advice would be to get a code reader and then you can at least have an idea or what might have gone wrong with it. l've heard that a small air hose can come off somewhere in the engine bay and this causes the fault shown above. lt's a minor issue that you can fix yourself temporarily. |

I have just attached a Scangauge3 which seems to show all function normal with the exception of a MAF reading of zero. No codes showing however. So I am going to investigate the MAF sensor first and the hoses in the air inlet area. Thoughts anyone?

What code reader do you guys recommend?
@NiftyNinety - Out of curiosity have you ever had to top up your coolant? I had to top mine up twice since new,it has been in before for this and apparently there is no leak. More than likely they just can’t find the leak. I am wondering if this has caused a fuse to blow somewhere. My car is in the dealership just now,had serious hassle trying to get a hire car ☹️. |

The GAP iid Gen 4 Bluetooth tool will be your friend. Not cheap ( for me landed in Aus it's just shy of a grand), but worthwhile the money. Currently the only diagnostic available that allows full fault code finding and clearing, the others can only read high level faults if at all.
Restricted Performce events are logged on the cars ecu, thr dealer should be able to recall them plus all the data surrounding the event, such as rpm, road speed , acceleration, braking, towing etc. Does seem odd to have an RP on such a young car, but it's better than nothing being reported and driving to destruction. Replacing a fuel filter to me seems like a bandaid, I'm with the idea of a fuel system issue, I.e injectors, fuel pump, fuel cooler etc. |

Diesel or petrol? If Diesel, the car has EGR (pretty sure they do in the ingenium series), then they need to check these for coolant leakage. Usually, the egrs are part of the coolant circuit. Being so hot due to exhaust gases, any coolant leaking evaporates inside the egr. However, sometimes you can see traces. I dont think this can cause a fuse issue. The only other places I can think of is the oil cooler, but then you'd see oil in the coolant expansion tank, or head gasket, in which case you'd see a lot of vapour out of the exhaust from boiled off coolant. |

I’ve topped up a couple of times but nothing abnormal. We been everywhere in this car including serious hot soft sand in the Sahara. Has been faultless before this Restricted Power issue. As said I am suspecting the MAF sensor. |
