Thanks all for your help!
So update - got a mate to give a minor tow so i could jump start it , started up immediately , went for a short drive parked up again - turned off and boom started up again like nothing ever happened and did that at least 5 times !!! so I'm very happy indeed - however i cannot get over the fact potentially when the battery died i tried numerous times to start which it did crank and started for a second then died due to the immobiliser - i must of got the solenoid stuck which kind of tells me its on its way out potentially ?? what are your thoughts i hate to always feel like will it not crank today feeling every time - is worth just replacing starter and solenoid - ? was going to go to a localish' mechanic in haywards heath apparently good reviews - land rover Sussex ? are they good or any suggestions around Sussex ? I might get my steering checked out to as it has way to much play to the extent you cant really hold the steering steady constantly adjusting and a tad stiff to be honest . many thanks again guys !! i have definitely learnt a lot in my 2 week ownership greg |
