I think dark graphite grey steelies against a black car would look better than black or white though.

Fitted mine on Sunday. Bought mine a couple of years back, but now they are dirt cheap on eBay. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

They are, but for how long?
Steel wheels are no longer standard even on the base specification Commercial, which is now the "S" and comes on alloys. You have to specifically order steelies. So the steady stream of new Defender customers dumping the steel wheels on Ebay will eventually dry up. Last edited by lightning on 31st Jul 2024 7:01pm. Edited 1 time in total |

It’s still niche though and will remain so. The market is flooded with them, hence the price.
Even alloys are going super cheap, as I found out Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy. |

Looking good! Michelin Tyres also much more quite than Pirelli Scorpio. Ride quality improved and around town easier to manovre. bit more wobbly on motorway.
I also feel it will possibly be slightly better in mpg with Michelin. Next week I am driving to France, see how it goes. |

l've got the Goodyear Wrangler A/T Adventure on mine.
They seem fine in all conditions and are definitely better off road than the standard fit Michelin tyres. |

Had the All Terrains on my first 90, decent enough tyre. I may switch them at some point.

They’re not bad, but have hopelessly thin sidewalls so if you are doing any real off road work they will fail you eventually. I also only got around about 35k out of them in terms of wear.
I switched to BFG ATs which are bullet proof but a fair bit noisier at certain speeds. Click image to enlarge |
