2015 Defender 110 gauge fault - tach & temp

Hi guys, I have tried to Google and search this site for an answer, but I have t found a solution yet.

Basically my gauges aren’t working fully. They were working for the last year, since I’ve had the car, but suddenly flickered the other day and the fault hasn’t repaired itself as I hoped it would!

Symptoms:
The tach is not functioning
The temp is in the red (even if the car is cold)
Battery light on (it is charging)
Traction light on

I feel this is a common fault, but I haven’t found a solution yet.

The car itself is was originally a TDI puma, but it has had an engine swap to an LT1 v8 and auto transmission. This isn’t (necessarily) related to the gauge issue as it has been running and functioning, and it still runs and drives now.

I believe you’re correct, but I’m not familiar with how it can lose its connection, and how to repair it. Do you have any advice?

I’m going through the fuses, and relays, at the moment.

As you have an engine conversion, you're a non-standard set up and so looking at factory LR info won't help here.

You might have an issue with the module/controller which is running the dash cluster from the LT1 engine.

You need to get support from the converter or the supplier of that module.

Thank you. I’m a bit of a novice for defenders, it isn’t my usual project. The engine and work was done by wildcat, and I am unlikely to get a response there.

The gauges were working correctly, but the fault occurred when I was playing with the radio (probably coincidence).

I’m not entirely sure what controller is used, as the car came to me with no written information.

Can you help me identify the controller? Where is it commonly located? I have a spear tech ecu, and under the rh seat is a spear tech little box.

I’ve read posts on this forum where other defenders have showed the same issue - no tach, hot temp, but the advice was to remove and clean a fuse (which seems to good to be true, based on my experience).
