Hi all
So there are three main supplies it seems for L663 spare wheel locks. Powerful UK https://www.powerfuluk.com/collections/new...ender-l663 LR official https://www.powerfuluk.com/collections/new...-fits-5095 Overlander https://www.4x4overlander.com/product/new-...heel-lock/ Now I doubt anyone has managed to get hold of all three and do some testing, but I wondered if anyone had distinct reasons to avoid a specific lock, or perhaps had a lock and the wheel still went wondering? Thanks |

Thanks all
Interesting LR have stopped that lock. Have they released anything else? Agree about the lock. Didn’t realise that but as you say, if it makes them move on then fine. |

As of two weeks agon no, LR won't be stocking the rimlock anymore. That was the info I was given by LR Sytner.
If you remove the centre-cap from the rear mounted wheel there are loads of lock options you could use to secure it to the rear carrier, but for asthetics a nice round lock with a black cover on does look tidy. Maybe use some epoxy resin to mount a grenade on the back door out of sight, and loop some fishing wire through the pin and a hidden place on the rear wheel |

FYI… when I bought my 110, the spare wheel has 2 security bolts on it. None on the wheels, but two on the spare.
I know this is now as good, but will certainly slow a thief down. |

Two will not slow them down at all had mine pinched from a train station and they left both the standard LR locking nuts on the floor and they weren’t even marked!

Not a deterrent any more, the crooks have all the gear they need to release any locking nut in seconds. If you want your wheel back it'll be on eBay.
Best to reverse park up against a wall or close to the back of another SUV. 23.5MY 90 V8 Carpathian grey |

Why? The 4x4 Overland is exceptional quality. Personally I would be happy with any of them. Mind you, I made my own before the others became available. I know it's not angle grinder proof but it will make the the thieving scum move on to easier pickings. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits.
