I recently fitted the Osram Nightbreakers and Crystal headlamps from Paddocks in my Puma - really big improvement on dip, nothing special on full beam... but I use dip most of the time anyway
Can't tell whether the bulbs or lights are responsible but I could only be arsed to change them both together Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |

I fitted some wipac crystals and a pair of PIAA brilliance bulbs - seem to be fine - one day I'll get some 8700s but waiting to see what happens legally and if 8700 are going to be updated

Best bang for buck is Wipac crystals + some uprated bulbs --

Yep , 10 min job tho. I fitted the Phillips extreme bulbs and they were a marked improvement that I didn't bother with the lamps (11 plate Def 90) Stu |

It even has the requisite photos to help! I used this as a guide the other week when I swapped out the OEM lights for Crystals. Worked a treat and took about 10 minutes for the first side; and even less on the 2nd light.

Buster does a good set of write-ups on Landyzone - I followed them last time I changed the track and steering rod bearings on my Discovery... We could do with more like that on defender2...I did write-up the oil change process (sticky on the TDCi page) for thaty reason...we could get a good library going between us! great idea Martin...also the FAQ's about engines, suspension wheels tyres, etc etc etc could be thinned out and made sticky or a tech archive |

Ive got those Wipac crystals as part of my SVX front conversion, and the difference in light output over the standard lights is incredible. The improvement on dipped beam is worth the money alone. Id recommend crystals to anyone.

Just fitted my Crystals and Philips X-Treme. No problems fitting, but not quite as straight forward on the Puma due to the added complication of the electric leveling motor. Could not see any way of removing the old lens without disturbing the headlamp aim screws, now have two horizontally opposite each other and a third on the electric drive. Just waiting for darkness to see how much difference there is to the standard set up. Rich semper in excretia sumus solim profundum variat |

There's another thread I was in about adjusting them the old-fashioned way until you can get it done by a machine. I did mine myself and the local TÜV garage said they were fine! Tell someone you love them today because life is short. But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing... |
