Preparing My Defender TD5 for the States: Seeking Rust-Pro
Hello and good day everyone,

I'm about 6 months away from shipping my Defender TD5 to the States. In preparation, I've been catching up on some overdue maintenance and upgrades, including buying new doors, rear panoramic windows, and more.

Currently, I'm focused on sealing up the interior to rust-proof it before I replace the carpets and headliners and add soundproofing. I want to ensure I address any surface rust I come across.

Additionally, I'm planning to replace every nut and bolt in the interior. Do you have any recommendations for a vendor that supplies a decent set of interior bits for the Defender?

What are your recommendations for products or techniques to effectively touch up and rust-proof the interior? Any tips or tricks from those who've done similar work would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your advice!

You'd probably be better off paying that attention to the chassis rather than the interior.

That is already on the list. I just don't like laying dynamat and no interior treatment.
