Starting issues when engine warm
Hi hoping someone can help as new to Land Rovers so still learning. I’ve got a 1999 Land Rover 90 TD5 it starts immediately when cold but then ran it for 10 miles or so and now takes ages to start as if it’s lacking fuel, been doing some googling and there’s various opinions like crank sensor wiring or fuel pump, is anybody able to help diagnose please? Is this a typical issue

Any help and advice would be appreciated

Thank you

No not typical. I would suspect air in the fuel (leak in fuel line, filter etc). There is a trick to have the fuel pump prime for a while (10x gas pedal press while on contact something like that). Try that if the pump can flush out the air and it starts immediately you know you are looking for an air leak in the fuel supply side.

Is the car remmaped? How long do you have this problem and what was made on the car before it started? "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile
