England 2005 Defender 110 Td5 XS CSW Cairns Blue
110 SW White '06 Td5 - Sheffield again...
These poor guys been done twice in 6 months.....

Extract below from Landywatch

Quote:
Sorry yes, the details

MM06 TGE, White stationwagon, no piccies I am afraid - we have only had it a few months to replace the last one.
Stolen from Holmhirst Road Woodseats S8 sometime last night.

I think the alarm and immobiliser were the standard, it was an ex-JCB vehicle.

Bought secondhand in May 11 from Jim Hallam in Macclesfield - spare on rear door has their cover on it.

Chassis SALLDHM576A722999
Engine 15P31261B

We are a small brewery business and the Landys have been used as business vehicles to supplement our 3 long wheel base vans. They are ideal for delivering beer into the Peak District when the snow comes. After the previous one was stolen in April - in broad daylight from outside the brewery just off Abbeydale Road, Sheffield - CCTV showed 4 hoodies making a quick raid at midday in a rain storm when no-one was looking - this one had alarm and so on and was not left at the brewery.

We really needed it today too as we are a van down!

I dont think we'll be buying another one.

Actually begs the question why they're not fitted with trackers from the factory. thefts would soon drop if these Censored knew all new ones had them.

There are loads of tracking devices available, and they can work in a number of different ways. It is important to realise the pros and cons of each type of tracking device, rather than just telling people to get this or get that just because they are great.

All these security systems have their weaknesses and it is important you know about them before choosing the device that's right for you. Its not information I'm prepared to share on a public forum, but will be happy to advise via PM to a select few people on here that I know.

Vehicle security is something I take very seriously, and I have looked at and used so many options over many years. We are distributors for two very well respected tracking devices, but we also fit very high end alarm systems too.
