There is no need of a dremel, or any drilling as a matter of fact, as the hole inside the knon is quite large. Land Rover used sort of a rubber insert, and that crumbles and falls away.
For mine I turned a 1/2" UNF nut to the right size and simply press fitted in in the knob. No modifications to the knob other than cleaning off the crumbled rubber. 1988 90 Hard Top, 19J Diesel Turbo, Shire Blue - Restoration ongoing
