A slight change of tack means I'm now looking for a 90 in addition to or instead of a 110/130 (as per a previous wanted ad).
My preference would be for an early 90, with a galvanised chassis. Cosmetic condition is not too important, but must be structurally and mechanically sound. I would prefer an original vehicle with minimal modifications, and it will need to be a hardtop or pickup i.e. a van for tax purposes. Otherwise, I am open to pretty much any engine, colour, age etc. Thanks in advance. 1985 127 V8 Build Thread Series 2 109" Series 1 80" |

I realise it's not a galv chassis but it is half the price of one! I have a 1995 300 tdi Arles blue 90 hard top here for sale its mostly original but typical ex farm condition (Lived in South Somerset from new) ie dents, marks, mud etc with 2 owners and 140k miles, bulkhead is lovely, chassis is mostly original with couple patches here and there as per usual for its age and being ex farm.
Engine and box are good with Cambelt done in 2022 along with a Ashcroft R380 gearbox installed with a new clutch. has had recent new rear prop and has had new brake pads all round. its just being prepared for a mot and is available for £6750 on here with a fresh ticket as I have had a offer on that from the trade. It is just been put on Facebook only for £7500 currently I can go through the whole truck and make sure it's all good for an extra reasonable charge + parts costs and put all the door cards back on and source some original standard seats. All ive done to it at the moment is clean it and fix the mot fail items which was a 1" rust spot on bulkhead outrigger, 2 new front shocks as one was leaking, replace a fuse as that blew on the mot bay taking the lights out, and a leaking brake union which was replaced with new pipe. and various other minor typical working defender stuff. Not too bad for going into a MOT completely unprepared. It is going back in for a retest on Tuesday so will have a clean pass.
