2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Java Black

RAM Compatible 10"-11" tablet mount

Looking for a tablet holder for a 11" tablet, preferably to go on my existing Ram arm. Need to be secure enough for off-road. Ram do the Tab Tite holder, does anyone have experience with one? Does it work well in landscape orientation? It looks really bulky too.

The X grip is a lot safer, the trouble is with that type is the pressure on the corners.

But yes, the X grip is not cheap, but is also future proofed so to speak really as you can fit different sizes with it.
You can use a clamp on the passenger grab handle as well for a totally removable option if you wanted.

Securing wise, the shorter adjustable ball mount arms are better, being shorter they are more rigid so long as you can get the angle you want.

I only use the iPhone X grip in case of emergency, the iPad is too visible for my liking if that was used for those that might be over interested in such things…
Best used discreetly.

I use Car play on my HU in most circumstances so don’t need any mounting solution, but have an iPhone X Grip and the glass mount for that if I wanted it for another vehicle.
I expect an iPad with cell and gps with OS maps subscription would be good for Byways and greenlanes etc, ideally with a Co pilot though.
It would be possible to have road sat nav app mapping and separate off road app software in use simultaneously on each device.
OS maps were, good but when they started to charge more for their App and mapping I stopped using it. It had plenty of bugs as well, quite unreliable.
I’m not sure if the Trailwise thing is better, it probably is.

Yes, the X-grips are good, I have the phone one and and the small size tablet one already. The tablet one has done Morocco twice and the Pyrenees once with not a slip. I didn't pay RRP for either and I just can't get my head around £100+ for the big one. But my small tablet is dying and I don't want to buy another when I have a bigger tablet available to me.

If you have an Android device, Locus Maps is a superb mapping/nav app. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

I use a tab tite holder. It's very secure and is relatively reasonably priced compared to other offerings. Used every year for 2 week foreign laning trips and at least twice a year for UK laning trips.

I use the Tab Tite holder for my iPad in my L663 and it has been great, it's rock solid off road, it works just as well in landscape or portrait

Passenger grab handle mounted with a mount keeping it relatively close to the dash fits in okay.
Elsewhere you’ll find it very much in your face and in the way. Chillin In The Backwoods🇬🇧🇺🇸
