I am very curious to know, can the bonnet still open with the antenna mounted there, or does it hit stuff? I have been considering doing the same mount for an antenna, but I want to make sure I'm not going to have to remove the antenna to open the bonnet. I have an air compressor mounted in the engine bay, and it will be a PITA to have to remove the antenna every time I want to use the thing.
Cheers!!

I have installed a VHF/UHF radio (strictly programmed to PMR446) a few days ago it only took 2 hours. The mic part comes with a screen and all the controls so main body can be tucked away in the footwell behind the trim. The antenna and 12v feed comes through the gasket in the firewall.

Apologies for the extraordinary delay in answering Bobby, yes the bonnet opens normally even with a longer antenna fitted, it is angled to sit above the screen.. no doubt you have already sorted .. oops yet another pommie bar steward down under MY20 110 P400 SE Defender MY10 3.0 RR Sport |
