Have you considered any of the after market ones?
I used to have a Prospeed rack on my D4, and it was much more quiet - and lower - than the OEM rack for the Defender. |

The LR rack is noisy but ok. I’m going to get a deflector from the US for mine. Apparently it makes a huge difference.

I too will confirm the genuine rack is noisy, less so now it holds the roof top tent.

it is noisy i removed mine in the end, i need a roof rack on all the time and found the genuine roof bars to be near silent. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

The Colorado Fairing Company front fairing cured the wind noise issue on my D110. It was pretty noisy before I installed it.

I have a Patriot full length roof rack on the 110 which is silent

This is why I love enthusiast forums instead of social media.
This was one of the two main questions I had about my new Defender. How do I open the sunroof without having my eardrums be blown out... and I'm used to noisy cabins!!! That CFC Fairing looks to be the ticket. Now if I could just get the DEFENDER script across it. Maybe that'd be too much. |
