Alterberg boot owner here, they're blooming comfortable boots. I also found them to be incredibly good at temperature regulation. With a standard typical walking sock in winter my feet were perfect temperature and in the summer I didn't notice any particular sweaty feet thing going on.
For reference as well, I had them done up quite well, stepped into a river - unplanned... and got a wet ankle from the water going over the top of the boot... My foot actually remained dry. Would have them, but I'm circa size 13 in these things... I might be interested in these. Are they a generous 9, as I generally need a 9 1/2.

I have used alterberg boots for a fair while. Excellent, long lasting, decent boots. Comfortable for the miles.
I am a wide 9/9.5 and wear a 10 altberg M width. I do use sorbathanes. Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

Thanks M94PUMA & jst.
Unfortunately I think they may be a little on the small side for me based on jst's reply. I can get away with a 9 in some boots, but tend to end up with size 10s. They are an absolute bargain. |
