she's coming home!

Finally ready to take her home again. 12 years in storage. Had to move her once inbetween, I changed the battery then and added a little bit of fresh fuel. Today 3 years after that, reconnected the battery, cranking for a while to fill the carb and she fired right up! Tires hold air brakes worked, unbelievable!!

Drove onto the transporter on her own steam, low range very controlled. Now for the long journey home. French registration is going to be tedious. Planning on taking the FFVE (France Classic Car Club) route.. 52 year old car.. hopefully can get classic car status.. and then the Carte Gris.

Oh, she looks gorgeous! Thumbs Up

You should join Le Temps des Séries, both a forum and a club dedicated to the leafers Land Rovers in France, you'll find tons of hints there to help with the registration.

And you could even come to the bal in september Wink “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

Thanks you!. Yes I have come across Le Temps des Séries a few times already and now I have me Series back I will sign up. Landelles is coming up in 2 weeks time, will go there but will take the defender, unlikely I will have the Series legal to drive.

Ball looks good, pretty long drive but might be up for that! le Puy de Dôme is a nice area.

Anyway we made it home just fine. These rental car transporters are great, easy to drive and all very reassuring.
