The rear steer on my l460 was an unexpected highlight of ownership. It made the car so much better at low speed and parking. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

![]() I don't really understand the mechanics, but I would imagine it would compromise ground clearance a bit. I'd imagine it adds some additional potential points of failure in the suspension too, right? |

I’ve always found the turning circle of the new defender to be pretty impressive actually (suppose that’s because my last car was a ‘classic’ 110!) and actually find it quite manoeuvrable around London
Certainly better than the Grenadier or Land Cruiser V8 etc which I sometimes drive. My instinct is that rear wheel steering might be nice sometimes but I’d rather not have the extra cost and complexity in the long run… Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

Agreed, I think the turning circle of my 90 V8 is pretty good for such a large 4WD vehicle.

I saw the 4ws actually working on a Range Rover that turned right in front of me the other day. I actually thought for a nano second he’d hoofed it too hard and was oversteering, then it clicked, could see the rear wheels turning, quite impressive. My uncle had a Honda Prelude decades ago that did the same thing. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
