I ordered a 110 X-Dynamic HSE on 9 April. I am told it’s scheduled for build on 16 July, with delivery to dealer late-August and handover on 1 September.

Petrol would be horrendously thirsty, which is fine if you don't do too many miles. Modern diesels are efficient but have become unreliable and expensive to keep going with all the emissions stuff. Also many cities ban or will ban diesel s outright. For used cars I now go for petrol even a V8 if need be. I have a P38 V8 LPG which is a really good cost effective solution.
Plug in hybrid seems to make sense. I rented a mitsubishi plug in hybrid. Batteries empty (rental) drove it for 1200km at an average of 13km/ltr 37mpg(uk) which I thought was shockingly poor for a brand new car. My 2014 BMW diesel easily does double the mileage. Progress in fuel efficiency stalled in the mid 90s. But if you were to plug it in (100km ev range) you probably be driven 90% of the time on electricity |

Good news that you know the schedule. Congrats! What colour did you go for? Taking your experience and extrapolating based on that I would expect mine to come around October. Would love it to be early but good things dont rush. I am, as a fellow lawyer, intrigued how you are managing to be a farmer at the same time. |

Im not in the UK but since they are built in Slovakia we are all in the same boat within Europe it feels like.
Demand seems very high still. Apparently LR sold 110 000 units of it just in 2023. Crazy. Signed for a 130 V8 around 19 April and just got a build date around 1 August. Delivery early Sep. Fingers crossed. These days most people buy on PCP.
90% of buyers according to my Land Rover dealer. The monthly payments are more relevant than the list price, because the vehicle is never actually yours. The vehicle might have a list price of £80,000. But if the residuals are good the payments will be lower than a vehicle that costs £60,000 and is predicted to depreciate more. |
