Thanks for that.

So if the wipers still don’t function on double speed with the relay removed I then need to move on to the wiper motor and wiper gearboxes?

It would suggest (a) there is no power to the switch, or (b) the switch is faulty, or (c) the motor is faulty, or (d) the wiring between the switch and the motor is faulty.

Update - I bit the bullet and replaced the motor and gearboxes. Cost around £120 in decent quality parts and took around 2 hours from start to finish. Passenger side gearbox and spline were seized.
