Security update
I am awaiting the security update and today received a call from JLR to book it in. At the start of the call the girls asked me to clear security by providing my name and address. I obviously refused as providing the address where an insecure vehicle is stored to a cold caller is not something I want to do.
Why are more people not onto this

I called the service dept of my local dealers to chat about something and they told me there was an outstanding security update. I booked it in to be done last Friday and they did it within an hour. When I then got back in the car there was an OS update required which I completed when I got home. It was update 4.1.4 and it sorted a couple of issues regarding speaker routing for the Meridian system and phantom engine warning lights. There were also a couple of PHEV updates which didn't interest me.
I don't know exactly what the recall update did but being security I gather it was important. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

JLR sent my wife a letter regarding the security updates (22 model year), no phone call.

I’m dropping it off this Thursday, seems there is also an EGR oil ring recall which they will do at the same time.

I thought the security recalls where prior to 2022 models, not complaining as the free valet means I won’t have to do it….. Whistle

Have you ever seen them clean a car? A couple of guys with brooms is not a valet. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

It’s been said previously that those who have run out of subscription are actually getting updates anyway. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

l've received the update but it won't download to the vehicle. lt says the download failed because there is "no network connection" even though the media screen shows 4g with three bars.

I was also skeptical about the recall request. But I was expecting it, so I called JLR support and got it booked. They came a month later and sorted it within about 10 mins.

Is the unlock facility from the remote app still disabled with this latest security update? MY23 D250 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

Mine has the N888 update and the remote lock / unlock is still unavailable - no other outstanding campaigns are showing for me on Topix.

Incidentally the remote lock / unlock became available on Monday, tried using and after 2 hours of it timing out and constantly telling me the car was unlocked (when it wasn't) and timing out, it has now become unavailable again.

Very frustrating. Tony

My car was updated last Friday to N890v3. I’ve just received a notification through the remote App that there’s a security update available and to arrange via the App immediately.
I’m guessing it’s for the same update that I’ve already had but will check today and report back. 24MY D300 130 X-Dynamic HSE Santorini Black

I got that message in the App yesterday too, my dealer assured me there are no outstanding security updates when it was in last month so its either a glitch or something new. 110 MY23.5 X Dynamic HSE

I had the message on the App today, called them and they confirmed nothing outstanding - it seems it has been sent to all users.

I did however mention the issue with Remote Locking / Un-Locking not working. Whilst they do not look after the app, I was asked had I used the Service Mode - when I said yes when travelling on the ferry recently and the tracker theft alarm during the crossing triggered and was told to use that option by the call centre (I had transport mode on which is the required option), it is since then I have had the problem.

Apparently Land Rover are aware there is a conflict which causes the problem and working on it. Tony
