Hi Ian
Thx for the flowers ![]() Congrats great job. Now I do have some questions: 1) I see you have strobe lights, has your lightbar 2 different signals, one for normal light and one with strobe effect? If you do push the red button on the controller 3 times you can change the lights to normal, strobe or on as long as the button is pressed. The red indicator LED switches to RED always ON, GREEN (Strobe) or Blue (ON /OFF) 2) Did you put the cable through the rubber wall to access the fridge? 3) Where did you mount the rear lamp on the roof rack or on the car? 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history) |

1) I haven't actually fitted them yet but the strobe lights are going to be orange flashing ones front and rear, one of the places that I access now have the need for orange flashing lights to comply with the new health and safety rules they have in place.
2) I haven't actually fitted the fridge yet, I'm just getting things in line for when I do but yes I used the rubber grommet in the firewall. 3) The rear work lights will be mounted to the underside of the roof-rack with the cable running along the roof rail, down the left hand A panel trim and across to the control unit. I had hoped to have more things fitted but haven't been in the best of health lately so just taking my time. ![]() -------------------- 22MY Defender 110 D200 SE, Fuji White. After the wintermonths I did mount a 270° 2 meter awning to my Defender. I bought it from OLC Germany for a good price. 550€ instead of 1300€. The old model but it does the job.
The biggest problem was to change the bars of the tent to rotate the entry sideways. A lot of fiddling. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history) |

Hello after months of absence…
here are my latest changes to my Defender 110 Last November I changed my rooftent for a Roofnest Falcon Evo 3, because it's much easier to setup and pack again. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Last week I mounted the molle side panel (MP), though I would like to have the Powerful Uk one, but EU import taxes are too high ![]() ![]() Click image to enlarge I do wait for the Overlandfuel jerry cans (yellow for Diesel) to mount on the side plate. ![]() Click image to enlarge Yesterday I have mounted the roof rackrack-bars and the foldable kayak-rack. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge and I did relocate the antenna ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history) |

Latest addition
Overlandfuel 9 liters jerry can, made in EU, German TÜV certified, with lockable handle. Better quality as Rotopax, doesn't change color nor cracks in solar UV light. A second one is ordered. I still can use the right side mirror. These cans stands out 11,5 cm from the car, the ladder on the left side is 10,5 cm. So everything ok. ![]() Click image to enlarge 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history) |

Thx-
The concept of the tent is great but there are issues. I had to exchange the first version of the tent, because the joints didn't close completely. The dealer did put 2 additional clamps on both sides to close the tent correctly. And the rainy winter weather flooded the tent completely. This one I tried last weekend at Gérardmer (French Vosges) inside it is completely dark, which I like so I can sleep longer. It has 2 LED stripes to illuminate the tent. As it where 0° C in the night my self-made diesel-heater made the tent cosy warm. But still it produces too much condensation (not with the heater) but without. On sunny days I open the tent to dry completely. I think the top part of the tent made of non-aluminium, isn't completely waterproof. but I could be wrong. The dealer promised me to exchange the complete tent with another brand if I do still have problems. The dealer has many brands of roof tents and they have also their own brand. I'm waiting for the Z-form tent. like on this picture. They will produce one version like that. You can open it in prism shape or full size! ![]() Click image to enlarge 22MY Defender 110 (actual) | 10MY Freelander 2 (history) | 15MY Discovery Sport HSE (history) |
