Hi
Paddocks sells some led lights for LR ... they say in their site that fits all Defenders - some with modification necessary ?! - What modification ? they don't say ... They're cheaper than LR ones ... But it also has on their list something called Smart Load Device 12v ... anyone know what this is It looks like a nice piece of kit ... Anyone tried them ? Knows anyone who has a set ? Do you think it's worth trying ? They don't have that kit with clear lenses ... You tried this Tig?? Or has anyone else? Reason i ask is i've twice bought and returned led stop/tail bulbs because they wouldnt work correctly on my truck Anyone had better luck on a Defender? [and got a link to proven bulbs] You can get halogen 380/1157 stop/tail bulbs now ... anyone tried those? [or got a link to a supplier]? Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

Kit arrived from Tim at mobile systems, everything in there that would be needed including extra foam gaskets for the fog and reverse plinths that remain on the vehicle.
All fitted in less than an hour - probably a quicker job if the umming and aching was taken out. New relay fitted and everything worked perfectly first time, so a bit of a first for me with LR lighting. All lined up nicely using existing holes and cabling so an easy job. Look very nice in clear lenses and very bright which was what I wanted. Yes possibly not the cheapest solution but avoided all the will it work or won't it fit/work scenarios so I'm happy. Might try the led bulbs idea on the older 90 as I want to keep that looking original. Will post some pics up when I get five mins (and not raining) DJ 1989 200tdi 90 csw 2011 110 usw Orkney grey Buy British 🇬🇧 Defender Clothing Designs available at http://www.rangesports.com/acatalog/Defender-Stuff.html |

was in Halfods and i notice they do these quick reacting indicator, stop tails etc which is what you must be on about. Not tried any yet. I want to keep the standard light fittings for now so an LED bulb upgrades the best option. i'll buy sme and see how we go. |

If you use LED indicators and replace the relay (rather than using a resistor) what happens if you tow a trailer with conventional bulbs?
Many thanks, Peter Defender 11MY USW |
