Fuel breather hose is usually the problem.

Looks like the breather to me too. I got a garage to change both my breather and filler hose using genuine LR parts.

So I decided to have a little poke around, and a very rusty jubilee clip fell off. I have now replaced, and filled up with fuel, and no leak.
If only every landrover job was that simple! |

I was going to suggest checking the Jubilee's.
Learnt from experience to check them first. Glad its fixed. |

Removed my split breather last night, probably the original because the plastic clip tying it to the chassis was still in place, new pipe should arrive today - fiddly job to do in situ, but doable without dropping the tank (mudflap and wheel off, truck secure on axle stand) five minutes with a fine tooth sharp new hacksaw blade to cut off the old crimped clip on the tank connection, wrapped some gorilla tape round for a handle and used as a pull saw.

I assume this was on a 110 ?
Think it’s more difficult on a 90. |

110 - still a faff
Avoid ‘marine’ reinforced hose, it’s not flexible enough if you are working in situ and stick with the standard type - don’t ask me how I know this. A flexible 1/4 drive is essential for the jubilee clip Click image to enlarge |
