620 miles in 11 hours yesterday. Smooooth.

I did a 620 mile trip from northern Scotland to south of London yesterday. Dave the Defender was excellent. Beautifully smooth, very comfortable. Jumped out at the end untroubled by aches and pains.

D250 90 HSE. Average 35mpg and average speed of 60mph (slow 50mph average in the highlands, faster on dual carriageway/motorway).

11 hours door-to-door with a McDs and a refuel in Carlisle, though the car could have done the whole trip in one go. My range was 666 miles with a full tank at the start.

Is it just me or have they done some work on the auto-cruise-control? It seems smoother and less harsh after the last software update. It’s well away from perfect compared to my previous VW T-Roc R, but feels better.

Nothing else to report really, it was just perfect. Yomping about little tracks one day, mile munching with ease the next. Fantastic.
