Nice buy TIG, good to see you traced a 2.4 down but from LRO's article the 2.2 doesn't seem a bad engine, pulls better at lower revs, higher top speed and DPF able to clean itself after 10 mins running from cold. Get some POR-15 on the chassis & pump in the cavity wax ASAP

thanks ZAG, the feedback i had from the dealers themselves was enough to put me off the 2.2! In a transit the 2.4 is 140 hp, so they've turned it down for the defender, mine will be turned up! I've been driving today...it's wet |

ok update. 165 miles, been between Bath and Bristol so she got nice and warm today. definitely freeing up a bit.
Moans so far! i'm not the tallest 5-9 but feel i need the seat further back? Loads of padding on the seats , maybe thats the issue. The pedal seem very low? almost pushing on the arms rather than the rubbers? And i can see plain white light through the heater control? like the bulbs not in the right place? Apart from that it's all good. |
