Aye - it is sitting on the drive, as 3" of fast moving water runs down past it.
Cannot use it as the ignition is knackered. A wee Audi A4 conv is not really what you need in this weather...... 2001 TD5 110 DCPU in Bonatti Grey |

I was up at 4am yesterday, and on the road by 5am, through the Borders, over to the M74, and down the west of Scotland/England (M6,M55) to Lytham (near Blackpool) and home late last night. 400 miles in the Defender. Most of the journey was in the dark, constantly windy, and mostly raining. Much of the motorway had 50mph speed signs up.
Was hoping to measure the MPG and see if I could get a decent MPG on that trip (expected to get down & back before the fuel light came on), but the weather put a stop to that. The wind was so fierce, it was almost pushing the Defender backwards. Thought i could freewheel back to Scotland, but the wind changed direction during the day Didn't even manage 400 miles to the tank Nasty driving though on flooded roads, lots of broken tree parts in the road early on. I'll be installing some extra driving lights before next winter for those dark early morning starts, and trips "up North" I've got some Philips Extrem Power headlight bulbs as well to improve dip beam...I think they may be getting fitted this coming weekend Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |
