I have no idea about country to country regulations. Remote start should work regardless as it's just to warm the cars engine and cabin.
Check your iconnect account settings and vehicle build with JLR. Worked for me since day 1 (MY23.5 P400SE). |

no, it's somehow related to the car - I asked JLR, I can't even buy add. SW..
I would have to have Secure tracker Pro, I only have Secure tracker (they answered) Hence the thought of whether it would go through CCF |

Perhaps email GAP in Canada if this van be added via gap iid into the ccf. However I suspect there wpuld be hardware required as well. I find it weird that JLR dont include this for some regions.

It’s a legal requirement in Germany - they do not allow remote engine start as a feature on any OEM

this is not really the case because if you buy the car with an auxiliary heating the engine still runs. But I would like to know if it is possible to activate this function with the GAP tool

Not possible to add via GAP.
It had to be activated on the JLR servers. Also … if you have the aux heater, it does not start the engine… only the aux burner. It only heats the radiator water, and runs the internal fans to heat the cabin. The engine is not used. |

l like the idea of an auxiliary heater! Sadly my Defender hasn't got that accessory and it wasn't an option either.
At least l have the heated windshield so don't have to wait ten minutes for the ice to clear on cold days. |

As pointed out aux heater does not start the engine and it’s law that prevents remote engine start - nothing the OEM can do
