I had a look at something similar a few months back..
I think it was the Idrive, sold by 4x4works.. I actually phoned them, but there was some doubt about whether they did one with connectors to fit the defender.. I was supposed to take a photo of the connectors and e mail them so they could check.. Needless to say I forgot about it... 😩 Always interesting to hear about such things but judging by the response to your question I guess not many have one |

What is the low rev second gear stutter you are suffering from? My Puma doesn’t have it. I don’t know anyone using a throttle tuning device on a Defender but they can definitely quicken response on other vehicles. However your issue is possibly be being caused by something else. It may be worth trying anyway to improve the drive but it may not fix your issue, at best just mask it. WARNING.

as above never noticed any issue with any 'spluttering' - mine was less smooth some time back which was caused by a faulty clutch sensor / anti-stall switch.........

My original post was the issue that I thought was well known and a 'characteristic' that required adaption of driving style.
It has been discussed in the past on this forum ;- "Puma2 judders/kangaroos 1st and 2nd gear" defender2.net/forum/post370694.html It has also been discussed on other forums If it is to do with throttle calibration I thought the pedalbox device might help. Thanks for your responses |
