Do you have the switch mounted in the gearbox RTC4937 or similar. This seems hard to obtain at the moment.
Is this a new install or has this been working already? Borrowing from the discovery layout seems sensible with output from ignition switch going through one side of gearbox switch and then to starting solenoid and charging circuit. This is what was done on mine (but not by me) and seems to work well. Click image to enlarge 1995 Defender 110 CSW 1971 SIIA Lightweight |

its a rebuild the inhibitor switch and gearbox were all working ok when i removed them from the disco. i need to know which wire to route through the switch. i was thinking of cutting into the starter relay earth wire.

I suggest the feed to the starter relay rather than the Earth would be better. 1995 Defender 110 CSW
