Ive just checked after reading this thread and my MY2024 D250 Hardtop had the N888 (PHASE 4) outstanding, rang LR Assist and they are coming out this afternoon to update. Glad i checked, a 2021 plate hardtop got stolen near me on the 02/04/24 so been a little concerned.

So JLR turned up to sort the security issue, the N888 OBD update blocks anything accessing the cars systems that isn’t a JLR recognized machine according to the guy. The car checks if it’s their device now before allowing access to prevent hacks.

Has anyone had the upgrade and found the Gap IID does not work? MY23 XS 110 D250

Id imagine that the Gap IID would work as long as one of the original keys coded to the BCM are present. When the original keys arent present id imagine it would be blocked, but would good to test to see if this is the actual case.

It took a while to get a slot, but LR assist got the job done nice and quickly.
The LR Assist gent was telling me that the InControl remote unlock feature will be temporarily disabled. Have you guys experienced this? Does it affect remote locking as well as unlocking? |

I called LR Assist on Friday and they came this morning as planned (I had not received an email or call from the dealer).
Really efficient and only took 10 minutes. No mention of the InControl remote unlock feature but is disabled on the app which first happened last week, I just assumed linked to the security updates. Tony MY24 - 110 D300 HSE in Tasman Blue with White Contrast Roof. Air Suspension, Off-Road Pack, Towing Pack, Three-zone Climate Control, HUD, Cold Climate Pack, Classic Mud-Flaps, Fixed Side Steps, Wheel Arch Protection, Rear Recovery Eyes. Plus a few extras to keep the Cocker Spaniel safe & happy. |
